It’s your lucky day—and you didn’t even have to find a four-leaf clover! Not only does St. Patty’s Day land on a weekend so you don’t have to deal with your coworkers pinching you or asking “Where’s your green?”, but you can also spend the day with your babe and turn it into a festive, cuddly date.
We’ve got the snacks covered, so all you need to do is grab the ingredients and choose your favorite St. Patrick’s Day flick. Our personal favorites are Leap Year, Rebellion, Gangs of New York, and Sing Street, which are all available on Netflix!
While St. Patrick’s Day was actually a dry holiday in Ireland until 1970, if you’re feeling the need to add the stereotypical green beer, be our guest. Grab a six-pack and some green food dye—it’s really that simple.
You know what else is simple? Your St. Patrick’s Day treat!

I’ve been obsessed with the date ideas so far and just saw you’re in the Cowboy family!
Yes!!! GO POKES!
The snack idea and the quizz were great. However, I’m really surprised by the movie suggestions. Lot of violence. And Leap year? I don’t know if their is two movies with the same title but the one I have found on Netflix is very bad. We didn’t watched it of course. Thankfully, we quickly pre-watched them and stopped. Sexual violence is very weird on a boo date! Nevertheless, we understand that we have different standards movies than others.
Hey Nancy! We are so sorry for any confusion regarding the movie suggestions! We do see that there are 2 movies called Leap Year on Netflix but the one we were suggesting is a Romantic Comedy with Amy Adams and Matthew Goode. 🙂
Yes! This one is great 🙂
Thanks for you work. We enjoyed a lot the snack and the quizz. And we watched you tube video on the story of this holiday and the green Chicago River.
