5 Ways You Can Turn a Trip to Las Vegas into a Romantic Getaway

There’s nowhere on earth quite like Las Vegas. After all, where else can you ride a gondola through Venitian waterways, marvel at the Eiffel tower, visit Ceasars’ Palace, or watch an erupting volcano all in one place? These are all part and parcel of the whirlwind of glitz and excitement of Las Vegas, which have made it the capital for bachelor parties and drive-thru weddings.

However, it’s a lesser-known fact that Vegas is also home to some truly romantic activities. Here are five ways you can turn a Las Vegas trip into a romantic getaway for you and your significant other.

Take a balloon ride

Love is in the air! Take your date to new heights on a Vegas air balloon, which Travel + Leisure Magazine reports can go as high as 800 feet over the Vegas Valley, Red Rock Canyon, and Spring mountains.

The flight begins early in the morning to ensure comfortable temperatures and a fantastic sunrise view of the city and dessert. The high altitude adventure ends with a traditional champagne toast.

Float through the Venetian Grand Canal

If you fancy being closer to the ground, consider taking a romantic cruise for two through the Venetian Grand Canal. The winding trip takes you both on a picturesque gondola ride beneath bridges, under balconies, and beside cafes in Las Vegas’ very own Venetian streetscape. The view, combined with a singing gondolier, offers a unique escape from the chaos of the Las Vegas Strip. Be sure to kiss your date under each bridge for good luck!

Watch the fountains at Bellagio

Perhaps one of Vegas’ most famous sites, the Bellagio Fountains are a truly stunning marvel and very much worth the trip and accompanying crowd. Find a good spot for two under the trees near the middle, and watch more than 1,200 fountains dance. Arrangements are changed every so often, and if you’re lucky, you can time your visit for a particularly romantic song for you.

Afterwards, visit the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art or the hotel’s iconic poker room, which PartyPoker states is a definite must-see, whether you’re there for entertainment or just admiring the gaming hall and the huge crowds that huddle room the tables. The stunningly luxurious room is home to some of the largest international poker tournaments including the World Series of Poker, and has been featured in movies such as Ocean’s Thirteen.

Get a massage

After a full day of activities, wind down and relax with your partner by visiting any of the city’s luxurious spas. Couples can enjoy lavish treatments with hydrotherapy and steam baths in private suites, with some establishments even allowing guests to order champagne and hors d’ouvres by the poolside. Keep an eye out for couple’s special deals for the best spa experience in Vegas!

Stroll through Fremont

Last but not least, take your date on a leisurely stroll through Fremont Street, one of the world’s brightest and most exciting walkways. Shop for souvenirs, gaze up at the world’s largest LED screen, and glimpse into the future with a fortune teller. If you like symbolic gestures, bring a lock that you can add together to The Love Locket, the interactive sculpture at the Downtown container park.

After you’ve taken in the sights and sounds of Fremont, take a seat at some of the more intimate spaces in bars and restaurants lining the street. Rest your feet, people-watch, and shower each other with kisses if you want – it’s Vegas, and no one will judge.
