5 Thanksgiving Desserts That Aren’t Pie

We love a good tradition and we love a good pie, but sometimes it’s fun to color outside the lines. For most people, the word “Thanksgiving” puts one of two things in your mind: either mashed potatoes or pie.

While we’d never say a bad word about pie, it’s time for you to add something else to that list. Wouldn’t it be nice to get texts and calls leading up to Thanksgiving from your family members begging you to bring “that one dessert you brought last year”? And how awesome would it be to even have people asking for the recipe?!

Here are 5 of our favorite “weird” desserts to bring to Thanksgiving dinner:

Salted Caramel Apple Snickers Cake

dessert cake with molten caramel and chocolate with three apples on top This cake takes the cake because…just look at that beauty! Half Baked Harvest blew us away with this one!

Harvest Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

These are actually for sale by Harry and David for $49.99, but we believe in your talents DIYing them! They’re gorgeous!

Soft-Baked White Chocolate Chip Cranberry Cookies

These are a simple cookie, but everyone loves a good white chocolate macadamia cookie! Sally’s Baking Addiction added cranberries to make these a Thanksgiving dream come true.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Acorn Truffles

These truffles are super simple and sweet, just like the story Sweet Spicy Kitchen shares about making them. Make someone’s day by making these acorn-shaped truffles. <3

Pumpkin Cheesecake Swirled Brownies

These brownies will be loved by many, though a nose may be turned by some. Since it’s not quite as controversial as pineapple on pizza, we think most people will thank you for the pumpkin and chocolate combo that Chocolate with Grace created in these to-die-for brownies.
